Global Deal Initiative Roundtable Discussion

ETI is delighted to invite you to a roundtable discussion with representatives of the Global Deal Initiative.

‘The Global Deal for Decent Work and Inclusive Growth’ is a global partnership and intends to bring together various stakeholders to promote joint solutions while still representing their different interests. Since the launch last September, almost 60 partners have joined and made commitments to enhance social dialogue and sound industrial relations. www.theglobaldeal.com

Together with ILO and OECD a thematic brief on the Business Case for Social Dialogue has been launched and we would like to invite ETI members to a roundtable discussion to share experiences and challenges within this field. Input on this Thematic brief is welcomed as it will be revised and updated over time. The roundtable discussion can also be an opportunity to exchange ideas about what’s needed to best handle these issues in the future. To read the Thematic brief, see here

The Swedish Ambassador in London Torbjörn Sohlström and the Ambassador and coordinator for the Global Deal initiative Sofia Östmark will be presenting the Global Deal that was initiated by the Swedish Prime Minister and developed in cooperation with ILO and OECD.

Our academic partners Warwick University Business School have kindly offered to host the meeting at their offices in the Shard.

The discussion will begin with a networking lunch from 13.30 before the Roundtable Discussion starts at 14:00.
