Climate change: Addressing extreme heat impacts for workers

Extreme heat is a human rights risk rapidly increasing in saliency. Businesses must collaborate with suppliers and worker representatives to prevent and mitigate impacts on workers in their supply chains.
Whilst climate negotiators meet in Baku, Azerbaijan for COP29, ETI insights will explore the links between extreme heat and human rights risks for workers in indoor settings. Speakers from across academia, civil society, trade unions and business will present their work and discuss strategies that businesses and supply chain partners can take to protect workers and ensure safe working conditions.
